The short version

This information comes from you, your sign-in provider, your app store, or the app as you use it. An IP address is also processed as part of ordinary internet traffic and service protection.

Why we use it

We process this information to provide the service you request, for our legitimate interests in keeping NextPick secure and improving it, and with consent where the law requires consent. NextPick does not make legal or similarly significant decisions about you.

Who helps us run NextPick

Trusted service providers help with sign-in, secure hosting, recommendations, maps, purchases, diagnostics, and support. They receive only the information needed for their part of the service and may process it in other countries using appropriate legal safeguards.

For Food & Drink, Google Maps receives your search, the area you enter, your language, and a country-level region hint. NextPick does not add your GPS coordinates or account identifier to that search.

Food & Drink map content is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service.

In the free version, Google AdMob helps show and measure occasional ads under the Google Privacy Policy. NextPick requests non-personalized ads. Google may still process information such as your IP address, device or app identifiers, diagnostics, consent choices, and interactions with an ad. NextPick does not send your searches, decision text, saved picks, email address, or precise location to AdMob.

How long we keep information

Your account, saved choices, preferences, and feedback remain available while your account is active, unless you remove them sooner. Older recommendation activity may roll off as newer activity is saved.

Temporary results, diagnostics, security records, and support copies are kept only as long as needed to provide and protect the service, resolve a request, or meet a legal obligation. They then expire or are deleted under their normal retention schedules.

Your choices and rights

You can remove liked or hidden items, delete feedback, or permanently delete your account in the app. If advertising privacy choices are required where you live, you can reopen them from Profile > Settings > Ad Privacy Choices. If you no longer have the app, use the account deletion page.

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. UK users can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Email us to exercise a right.

Children

NextPick is not directed to children under 13. You must also meet the minimum age required for your Google or Apple account in your country.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when a change materially affects your rights.
